Entitlement Reporting
The centralized entitlement management system provides a uniform view of the entitlement information of an organization or organizations. Previously it has not been practical to report about the entitlements of all users of a corporation or industry consortium.
Regular and Ad-hoc Entitlement Reports
The entitlements of a user or a user group can be documented and checked through reporting. The documentation provided by reports can be used as the basis of a regular audit process which is complemented by on demand audits as needed. To fulfill this requirement, reports have to be up-to-date, comprehensive and must cover all the phases of the entitlement life cycle.
Reporting is aimed for the use of all stakeholders of entitlement management, for instance those responsible for information security, service owners, superiors, internal and external auditors and entitlement data administrators.
Versatile Entitlement Report Types
Both current and historical entitlement reports can be generated. For historical entitlement reports, the report presents the entitlement changes within a given time interval. Reports can be created from a user point of view to include all entitlements of a user or user group, or from a service perspective to include the entitlements of all users to a given service.
Centralized entitlement management provides comprehensive reporting functionality for authorized users. When creating a report the level of detail can be selected and reports can be executed on demand, or they can be scheduled to run automatically at configurable intervals. If an entitlement has been granted as a result of the entitlement request and approval process, the creators and approvers of the assignment are shown in the report together with the relevant dates.
Versatile reporting provides an inclusive picture of the entitlement management position of the organization. This, in turn, offers further input on the progress of the entitlement management policy development activities.
