Heimore and RM5 Software into Nordic partnership

Heimore Group and RM5 Software have agreed on a Nordic partnership. RM5 Software produces RM5 IdM, a next generation IdM solution.

– RM5 Software´s approach in this area is very similar to ours, explains Sami Mäkelä, CTO of Heimore Group, a strong Nordic Identity and Access Management service provider. The data model is more business centric, and the terms are more concrete, continues Mäkelä.

Today RM5 IdM is found in Insurance companies, financial institutions and public organizations in Finland and Sweden. The product is also currently introduced into German speaking Central Europe. With this contract Heimore and RM5 can also expand their co-operation into Norway and Denmark.

– We have operated close to our Swedish customers for almost two years. The contract with Heimore opens the market for us in a much more greater width, tells Christian Sundell, RM5 Software´s Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

–From the customer IAM process delivery point of view Heimore and RM5 complement each other. We also get knowledge to package the RM5 IdM product with Heimore services in new ways, which have not earlier been available in Finland either, continues Sundell.

RM5 IdM can be used to manage both internal and external users and services (applications). The unique product features cover among others:

• control entitlements through power of attorney
• define entitlement matrixes for individual objects

Through power of attorney the entitlements can be defined for example between a company and its suppliers: the company gives its insurance supplier (broker) the power of attorney to manage the company´s employees’ pension agreements, instead of using its own resources.

Defining entitlement matrixes for individual objects makes it possible to use highly fine grained and flexible entitlement structures, using the same data model.

RM5 IdM includes an innovative user interface for administrators and also an effective user interface for business unit managers, for taking delegated entitlement management decisions as close the business operations as possible.
